What happened
On Easter, a volunteer noticed a cat near a garbage bin by Avala mountain. He was missing a part of his left ear, looked exhausted and severely ill.
After a visit to the clinic, it turned out the problem was more serious than initially thought: a biopsy confirmed ear cancer, and and an X-ray and CT scan showed four old air gun pellets.
To ensure transparency and official tracking, the fundraising is organized through the NGO (Udruženje za zaštitu životinja “HOG”) bank account.
Medical status

Confirmed squamous cell carcinoma of the skin; no metastases found, lymph nodes unchanged

Four old air rifle pellets were found (three in the chest, one in the jaw)

Surgery to remove the tumor and the left ear canal was successfully performed (June)

Post-surgery histology of the right ear: completely clear

Due to a complication (suture necrosis), a skin transplant is scheduled for July 16

After that, therapy follows to reach full remission

Lelik is FIV positive, FeLV negative; his appetite and general condition are good
